Well I'm off to do some more moving, the guys are power washing the house as we speak. So until the MOB emails me the pic of the ringbearer pillow we made yesterday Later Y'all.
The plan for the programs is to fold them in half, round the corners, punch a hole in the bottom and time some pretty ribbon to it. And there you have it, a program fan so our poor
guest won't die of heat stroke.
Oh and have I mentioned 17 days left? Well theknot.com sure has made it clear with its lovely "your wedding is in blank days banner" that seems to be a countdown to insanity. I've even started the weird dreams about no one showing up and Jeremy ditching the ceremony to work out{which is strange cause he rarely does}.
And to your left is the monogram that I have tried to upload since last year. I finally just took a picture of the one on the program...wasn't worth trying to upload anymore;)
Y'all should be proud of me I have finished attaching the ribbon to the divider, all I have left to secure the foam board to the actual divider.
Phase 1:
Phase 2:
Well that is all of project guest book divider thingy I'm doing tonight, tomorrow I'm going to add the ribbon, and when it's done I'll post phase 3.
And guess what, we found a house to rent! And they allow dogs! Plus it's not a bad price. We had really thought about buying because it is supposed to be so great to buy right now, but since we plan to move in four years when Jeremy is done with grad school we really don't want anything holding us back from escaping Monroe. The last thing I would want is to have an issue selling and potentially get stuck here for life, I think that alone would kill me. But yay for reasonable roomy rent houses, and our wonderful friend Ethan who found it for us!
Have a great Mother's Day, and don't let mine lie to you, I may not be coming home, but I actually sent a card, and I'm as bad as my Dad about gift giving, so I'm doing good. Maybe next year I'll be home with an actual card at the same time.
I have also decided to actually get my act together and do something, I went to have the programs printed today. I figure it is just way easier to have someone else do them, less stress for me at this point. Plus yesterday we went to get our marriage license. Needless to say the irritating lady who did it failed to ask if we wanted a covenant marriage so when I mentioned it at the end she had an attitude and said we would have to wait till after the wedding cause I should have told her before she did the paper work. Guess what lady you should have told me, heck sorry I am on my first and only marriage compared to the people in front of us who were on #3. Wow I've become quite the angry little ranter lately, doesn't change the fact that some of these goofs should be on old testament law. But I'm gonna quit now, have a great weekend. And if you haven't sent in your RSVP do so now, even the regret, I gotta give the caterer a count soon;)

But on a brighter note I made some wonderful banana bread yesterday. I wanted it to be healthy and actually have nutritional value...and lets be honest you can't stick a banana in a loaf of break and call it healthy. So I took this recipe and tweeked it a bit:
Flour's Famous Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour ***substitute whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil***substitute olive oil
- 3 1/2 bananas, very ripe, mashed
- 2 tablespoons creme fraiche or sour cream***substitute yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped
Directions
Set oven to 350 degrees F. Line the bottom of a loaf pan with parchment paper.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Beat sugar and eggs with a whisk until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes. Drizzle in oil. Add mashed bananas, creme fraiche, and vanilla. Fold in dry ingredients and nuts. Pour into a lined loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Now due to a cross between my health nut self and lack of ingredients I substituted all purpose flour for whole wheat graham flour, veggie oil for olive oil {yes olive oil, I was out of veggie and had no other choice, I was worried you would be able to taste it but you can't at all...plus its super healthy}, and for the sour cream I substituted fat free vanilla yogurt. Now if I had splenda in my pantry I would have substituted the sugar too.
