I would invite...
All my friends...especially the ones I rarely see these days.
The theme would be...

But I would really like it to be a garden party or high tea. English dinners are not my favorite thing, I faked sick many a night when I was in England. Lunch and tea tend to contain much better tasting foods.
I would host it...
At the closest thing to Highclere Castle in the south...any respectable Plantation home. But since I adore the house we were married at let's go with Twin Oaks. It's beautiful and filled with antiques inside. Then again you could host outside as a garden party and seriously make it look 1900's. But if at all possible it would so be held at Highclere Castle:
We would eat...
Scones, trifle, mini quiche, sausage plait, roast beef & horseradish sarnies, salmon and cucumber sarnies, petite fours, victoria sponge cake, Scotch eggs, Pea and Mint Soup, Coronation Chicken Salad, Jelly & Custard...and the British list goes on and on.
