I've often wondered how Moms walk dogs and babies at the same time.
I think I've figured it out.
Allow me to share a graphic example of how you to can walk the dogs and baby at the same time:
Notice all the key parts of this photo.
#1 The toddler is holding the dog leash with two hands.
- because one hand isn't safe, we figured this out when he let go of the dog
#2 Dog happiness is of utmost concern.
- when your 6 year old 12lb weenie dog quits walking no one wants to carry that...so you put it in the basket under the stroller.
#3 The aunt who looks so chawed because the neighbors said something to her about this...as the lead dog dragged the strolled off the road nearly crashing us all into a pristine flower bed.
- There were two other "adults" with me, they walked behind me cackling.
#4 If you are going to use a weenie dog as a sled dog it is best the dogs understands some commands.
- It may look cute to teach the 2 yr old to yell mush (while it only draws more attention to the already ridiculous situation), it is more crucial that the dog understand commands like stop when approaching oncoming traffic.
Realize I didn't tell y'all how to do this without getting funny looks, or without causing a scene. I also should have mentioned this is best done in a neighborhood where the local Garden Club members aren't present. I think they cringe when they see my dogs coming.
Don't for a second think I am exaggerating this one either. The only thing that would make it more comical would be partaking in this activity today...while Hurricane Isaac hits. Because a wind blown baby and an insane weenie dog would be much funnier in your flowerbed.
What is your funniest or most embarrassing moment as an aunt, uncle, or grandparent so far?
