[What is Meal Pinning Monday?]
MPM is how I meal plan for our little family. I once spent a lot of time searching the web and my recipe books hunting for new recipes and ideas for what to cook every week. Then, Pinterest came along and made meal planning much easier for me. Every weekend I look over what I have pinned the prior week and decide what I would like to cook and make my grocery list from these recipes. MPM came about as a way to share what I am cooking, and to also see what others are cooking every week to hopefully get even more dinner ideas from other bloggers. If you don't pin your recipes feel free to just share what you are cooking. To see the recipes I've chosen just click the pictures.
This week isn't as fab as it was originally going to be. Between the three of us (Jeremy, Ellie, and I) I don't think we have it in us to have a whole bucket of fun. I know during Mardi Gras we are being intentionally low key, my family is coming and we are going to just catch up on life together at this house. Time to adjust to a new normal, second time in this marriage to play the new normal game and sadly I know many more will come over the years.
Life is about enjoyment and adjustment. I have to enjoy what God gives us and have joy in him just as well when the hand dealt is less than stellar. When a new normal is forced upon us it is okay to grieve, but you can't wallow forever. I just wonder how long the grief will last.
