First full week of summer is in the books and it's been nothing but happily filled days of fun.
1. This has been my new go-to keto style lunch, I might eat it everyday until I hate it honestly! It's Chicken, 1/2 avocado, 1/3 cup shredded cheddar, 2 tbsp sour cream, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, and green onions. Heavenly.
2. I've been testing out my Darling Voxbox that I was sent by Influenster at the end of last week, all the products were sent complimentary & the opinions are my own. Let me give you a quick run down of my thoughts on each product:
Duncan Hines Mug Cakes - divine and it's about time they came out with this! Who else use to make mug cakes with a box of chocolate cake and angel food cake combined? Then you'd add a few tbsp of water... it was some Weight Watchers recipe from ages ago.
Nature's Bounty Energy Gummies - these yummy gummies are B-12 and work just as well as my pill form B-12, but taste better. They've been great for getting my energy up in the morning before a workout.
Country Crock - do we even need to discuss this? It's not my thing but my husband loves butter spreads like this so he's happy to see it in the fridge.
eva-nyc conditioner - this is supposed to be a heavy damage repair conditioner. It smells amazing and works well as a regular conditioner, but I wouldn't consider it a heavy mask type conditioner. I've been using it daily and do enjoy it though. However... I think my issue with how it feels is the lack of parabens and I'm not big on hair products without the bad stuff in them lol. So if you like that sort of thing, you'll love this stuff.
Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid - I really like this serum, if you have dry skin this would be heavenly. I however have normal to oily so this doesn't feel like it's making a major difference but I know that the ingredients in it are in fact keeping my skin hydrated well. Come to think of it, my end of the day wrinkles haven't been around, the ones due to my skin drying out during the day. So maybe this is working more than I initially thought.
Live Clean Baby Wash & Lotion - heavenly! That's all I can say. I have searched for a baby wash for 2 years that didn't dry my hands when I was bathing Harry (because you know it's drying him too) and this miracle in a bottle has done the trick. I'll be keeping this in stock at our house from now on, and it smells like heaven. For a few hours every day my little boy smells like a baby and not a boy!
3. I don't know if you caught my review of Aroma Foundry Essential Oils, but I love them. I've been diffusing Ylang Ylang and Bergamot all day and the house has smelled amazing.
4. We went to the zoo the other morning when it wasn't raining for 5 seconds and ran like wild people. My hands down favorite moment was when we walked into the bird area with Harrison carrying a bag of Goldfish. Immediately all the birds that were looking at me started wandering down the cage and kept sticking their feet out and saying "hello." One really manipulative bird got eye-to-eye with him and opened his mouth... talk about catching H just in time to not lose a finger to a cockatoo! I couldn't quit laughing at this gang of white cockatoos trying to scam a toddler for crackers.
Not unlike the mischievous white cockatoo at the Baton Rouge Zoo that asks for crackers when you walk by... then hides when a zoo keeper gets wind of his activity. If you go there, be on the look out for Winston.
5. Same day, new activity, but we met friends after nap time to play in the water. As you can clearly see Harrison hated it and cried the entire time we were there.
And 6. because I can --- Very soon I'll be sharing a lovely clothing boutique based in Louisiana with you. Gotta support those LA ladies! Hopefully tomorrow or Sunday I have A) enough nice weather to get some photos and B) a husband around to take them. I almost got the photos today but the hubby showed up after work with a bad headache and was in no mood to photograph clothing for me.
