This has been yet another week of barely taking photos.
So did we actually live? Does life count if you don't Instagram it these days.
Clearly it does... but jeez at having to document everything.
This must be some post Paul McCartney high issue. I've taken maybe 6 photos in the past two weeks. What's left in life? Nothing. Nothing can top McCartney.
Just kidding... but seriously.

If anyone would like Ellie they can have her. I'm over this old dog and her nonsense. I literally mopped every single day for a week due to her need to pee in my kitchen. Guess who is kenneled at night now. Not me. I pee in the appropriate places.
This photo perfectly shows her feelings towards me and my need for her to behave and be clean.

It's the last week of summer and I am living in a hard denial. This is not my cup of tea.
So I'll just be over here cooking and pretending I don't actually have a job.
Also, just an FYI... something is glitchy with the widgets today so just click the meal to get the link.

[What is Meal Pinning Monday?]
MPM is how I meal plan for our little family. I once spent a lot of time searching the web and my recipe books hunting for new recipes and ideas for what to cook every week. Then, Pinterest came along and made meal planning much easier for me. Every weekend I look over what I have pinned the prior week and decide what I would like to cook and make my grocery list from these recipes. MPM came about as a way to share what I am cooking, and to also see what others are cooking every week to hopefully get even more dinner ideas from other bloggers. If you don't pin your recipes feel free to just share what you are cooking.
This episode pains me to even think about it, mainly because I wanted to see the chef we worked for back in our college days win the entire competition.
Which lets you basically know who left. Cory.
I'm thinking Amy will stay in now until the finals, with Jason. Or maybe they brought back Matthew because they actually want to see him have a show. Who knows.

We cancelled Cox this week.
Well, not only Cox, but also Verizon.
It wasn't on a whim either. I'd say about a year ago the conversation came up to get rid of it to save money. Granted not the cell phones, just cable. The concept fell through when it was time to renew our contract and since we couldn't land on an agreement we went ahead with cable.
I couldn't give up DVR.
My channels... those shows don't come up on Netflix.
Then we visited our favorite frugal friends and they showed us what they had.
We came home and within the week cancelled cable and phones.
We still have cell phones... but swapped to Straight Talk because for half the price we get more than double the data and could keep our numbers.
Cable went out the window and we got a Roku and a Sling subscription... I'll be adding the PBS Passport before Great British Baking Show airs tonight.
I lost a few channels, but I should probably not watch them anyway.
Plus in the long run this will help with keeping kiddos from seeing things they have no business watching. Commercials are even awful these days.
So instead of that phone upgrade I wanted, we down graded.
Instead of recording that show that went off air and is finally coming back this fall... I'll be watching something else.
Or even better, read a book or the bible and not mental say that I need to watch whatever the show is I recorded.
So yeah, we cancelled it all. I still can't believe my cable loving self agreed to it, so out of character.
But the money saved will basically afford for a second kid to go to the sitter at the same time as Harrison... not that there is a second kid yet.
So that happened.

Dreams came true and I finally got to see a Beatle.
Thanks to the boom of social media over the past few years we were able to see that Paul McCartney was coming to our area in enough time to get the fan club price tickets and book them a day before the actual release.
I tried to see him several years ago when he was in New Orleans, but the only tickets left were $500.
I asked Mom when exactly I became Beatles obsessed and she said it started when I was about Harrison's age with The Monkees and it developed into The Beatles from there.
So lifetime.
I know I've skipped episode 6, Addie (how does she spell it?) was sent home. She was partnered with Matthew.
In case you were unaware... no one on earth likes him. Not even Giada.
That's all I can remember from that one. I skipped posting about it because we were out of town when it aired and watched it nearly a week later.
Now for episode 7 I literally drove all day to be able to be home in time for this one. I was at Paul McCartney the night before, prepare to hear me only blog about him for the rest of forever, and I'll be posting about that tomorrow.
This episode could easily be summed up by saying that Giada despises Matthew but somehow he doesn't get sent home.
How is it Monday?
I'm still dancing around the house singing Queenie Eye from Saturday night. Somehow I missed Sunday in my post concert daze.
Anyhoo.
This week is stupid simple.

Monday - Sunday - Egg Fast
[here's the link, widget isn't working >>> Egg Fast]
I've been in a touch of the Keto stall for about a month so before we start back to work I wanted to do this. Jeremy's on board so it's eggs day in night for the next 7 days.
Hopefully the Sir Paul high sustains me.
It's been a week of camping for our crowd, all the way at Lake Catherine in Hot Springs. If you're looking to camp in Arkansas I'd highly recommend this state park. The facilities are nice, I didn't see a single snake, and the swimming and hiking are really pretty.
[ONE] Monday we wandered off with a two year old and 11 month old in tow and hiked the shortest trail to the waterfall. Absolutely beautiful, it just wasn't a swimming type of creek. It was freezing!
The waterfall area was nice and shallow and great for kids to wander around in.
Last night might have been the most underwhelming of underwhelming episodes ever produced.
I'm not even entirely sure what just happened.
For starters they did partner challenges instead of group work.
Thank you Food Network, we all appreciated that.
This is a weird food week with a holiday and Jeremy cooking. I've found myself in a food rut this summer for sure, doesn't help that I'll eat something until it makes me want to gag.
Or the fact that I burned burgers to a flat crisp last week.
Tomorrow's a new food day.
